For the horde of you who come view my blog and wonder why I do not write more often, I am a “busy bee” (someone just called me that a second ago so I thought it would be the apropos metaphor). I love to write, and if I had the time would do it more often than I am sure anyone would desire to read it. God, however, has not asked me to spend my days writing away (as of yet…some feel that that time will inevitably come), but to pursue a myriad of endeavors to further His kingdom. I often do not understand why He calls me to do certain things in my life, but take those proverbial steps (sometimes leaps) of faith, trusting that He will reveal His reasoning when He sees fit. Now, this is considerably easier said than done as I am the world’s biggest skeptic (perhaps an overstatement, but it feels as such), and always want to know why I am asked to do something before I do it. How many times did we hear Jesus say “Follow Me” with little or no explanation, and whomever He was talking to did just that? Later it was always revealed to them why He had called them. He works the same way in my life. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
Savior, as I spend time getting intimately acquainted with You, continue to teach me Your voice, that I may know Your voice when I hear it, and follow you accordingly.
And on that note…I am going to write a research paper. Pray for me! Thanks! Hope you all have a beautifully blessed weekend!

Molly – I found you via your comments on Brody’s site. Our Father God has poured out great talent and gifts over you. Your words resonate deep in my spirit. This post spoke to me and God used it to bring my heart back to a very special verse. Isaiah 30:21 “You ears will hear a word behind you, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” So many of us connect with that sentiment of not understanding why God is choosing to use us or send us somewhere. We peer back over our shoulders at our own foolish mistakes or missed opportunities. They taunt us or cajole us from devout into doubt. Suddenly, instead of seeing God’s calling as a refelction of His promises to us… we lose focus and view ourselves as meer vestiges of lost hopes, broken dreams. How many times have we been on the brink of His magnificence, walking those “proverbial steps of faith,” when this world’s skeptics (yea, even ourselves) derail us. Strange how little things can veer us off track as easily as life’s huge coliisions. Sometimes all it takes is a whisper to turn our heads. Where our eyes are focused, our footsteps fall.
Thank you for echoing the Word and reminding us that even when we don’t see how or why, God does. It ( whatever IT is) may not make sense from any angle, but the Lord’s. Even so, we follow.
All for His glory – Melody K. Milbrandt
P.S. – Praying endurance, focus, comprehension, energy, and peace for you as you complete your research paper. Again – thank you Molly. Be blessed. Bye!
I miss talking to you.
I still miss talking to you.
